Two decades of R1 bodywork, one bolt kit
This 190-piece fairing bolt kit is listed for the Yamaha YZF-R1 from 1998 to 2019, and also for the FJ1200, FZR1000 and FZR600R.
It contains 74 bolts and 116 accessories in 6061 aluminum and hardware, sorted in a plastic box to refresh every panel of the bike.
Why it is worth fitting
The bolts have an anodized matte finish; the seller presents the alloy as light and the surface as corrosion resistant.
The kit covers the upper, side, lower and tail fairings, the trims and inner panels, both fenders and the windscreen.
Six colors are offered, black, blue, red, silver, gold and green, so the bolts can match your paint or stay discreet.
Installation
Replace the bolts one at a time and match each one to the original length so the fairing stays aligned.
The seller gives a maximum torque of 4 N.m for M5 and 6 N.m for M6 bolts and advises not to over-tighten aluminum.
In the box: 6 M6x40, 20 M6x16, 20 M6x20, 20 M5x16 and 8 M5x25 mm bolts, 14 speed clips, 5 truss screws, 5 well nuts, 40 nylon washers, 40 plastic pillars, 5 M6 and 5 M8 fairing clips and M5 and M6 Allen wrenches. The seller states the kit installs without instructions.
