Carbon Look Tank Pad For Kawasaki Z900 / Z400 / Ninja 400 / Ninja 650

Carbon Tank Pad For Kawasaki Z900, Z400, Ninja 400 & Ninja 650

This carbon fiber tank pad protects the paint around the fuel cap on the Kawasaki Z900, Z400, Ninja 400 and Ninja 650. It measures approximately 12 cm (4.72 in.) across.

It uses an ultra-sticky adhesive backing that holds firmly yet can be removed without damaging the tank surface, and the carbon fiber material is weatherproof and resists fading and corrosion.

Why it matters

Every fill-up puts keys, rings, the fuel nozzle and spilled fuel in contact with the paint around the cap. Over a few seasons that area is usually the first to scratch and dull. A fuel cap protector takes that wear instead of your paint.

It also adds a finished, custom detail to one of the parts of the bike you look at most, and it costs a fraction of a paint repair.

Because it is small and sits flush around the cap, the protector is discreet: it shields the paint without changing the overall look of the tank or getting in the way of the fuel nozzle.

Installation

No tools, no drilling, no cutting. Clean and dry the area around the fuel cap, peel the backing and press the protector into place, working from the center outward.

Compare the shape of your fuel cap with the product photos before ordering: these protectors are cut for a specific cap design.

Compatibility

The manufacturer does not specify model years. Check that your tank and fuel cap match the photos before ordering.
