Description
Matte 3K Carbon For The Super Duke
This heat shield fits the KTM 1290 Super Duke R from 2017 to 2019 and the 1290 Super Duke GT from 2016 to 2024.
It is made of 3K carbon fiber (dry carbon) with a twill weave matte finish, and the photos show a heat-reflective layer on the back face.
Why it is worth fitting
Carbon is light and stiff, and the seller lists it as high-temperature resistant, which matters on a part that sits next to the exhaust. A heat shield is also a protective layer against small scuffs, so the pipe underneath stays tidy for longer.
The surface has an anti-UV coating, so the clear layer keeps its look over time instead of fading in the sun.
The matte twill finish gives the big V-twin a discreet, factory racing touch.
Installation
The seller says the shield installs without modification and is easy to fit. Work on a cold exhaust and check the mounting points first.
Installation instructions are not included, so take a photo of the original part and tighten the screws gently to protect the carbon. Recheck the screws after the first ride, once the exhaust has been through a heat cycle.
In the box: one carbon fiber heat shield in twill matte.
