Description
Description
Fill The Frame Recesses On Your Softail With Chrome
This is a set of 4 frame inserts for Harley-Davidson Softail models from 2008 to 2017. They fit the recessed areas of the swingarm frame sections on the left and right sides.
The inserts are made of ABS plastic with a chrome finish and a contoured 3D shape. The FXCW, FXCWC, FXSB and FXSBSE are not covered.
Why it is worth fitting
The open channels of the Softail swingarm frame collect dust and look unfinished next to a polished engine. These chrome inserts fill them and add a bright line along the rear of the bike.
The curved profile sits neatly inside each recessed section, so the frame keeps its original lines while gaining a custom look that suits a Fat Boy, Heritage or Deluxe.
At about 100 g for the set, the inserts add no real weight and need no drilling.
Installation
The seller states that the inserts are held in place by special adhesive tape. Clean and degrease each recess first so the tape bonds well.
Test the position of each piece before you peel the liner, then press it firmly into place. Fit them at a mild temperature and avoid washing the bike for a day so the adhesive can set.
In the box: one set of 4 chrome frame inserts. The seller does not list installation instructions.
