This driver backrest is made for the Honda Gold Wing GL1800 of the 2018 to 2020 model years, fitted at the front position behind the rider.

It is built from polyurethane synthetic leather over a PP shell, in black to match the stock seat. It is fitted at the front position, directly behind the rider, rather than on the passenger seat or top box.

Why it is worth fitting

A rider backrest helps prevent fatigue and gives support to the lower back, which makes longer days in the saddle easier. This matters most on the long touring days the Gold Wing is built for, when a rider can spend many hours seated.

Its design lets it rotate forward, so the passenger can get on and off more easily.

Note from the seller: if your bike has the genuine Honda comfort seat with its raised back area, this backrest cannot be used.

Installation

The backrest mounts at the front rider position using the hardware kit supplied; check the bracket alignment before the final tightening.

Once fitted, set the angle, tighten evenly and test the forward folding movement and the locking position before your first ride. Keep the original parts you remove in case you want to return the bike to stock condition later.
