Carbon Fiber Exhaust Heat Shield For BMW R1200GS / R1250GS - 2013 to 2023

Anti-Scald Carbon Cover For The GS Mid Pipe

This exhaust heat shield covers the middle section of the exhaust on the BMW R1200GS (2013 to 2018) and R1250GS (2019 to 2023).

It is made of real carbon fiber and measures about 27.2 cm long and 9 cm wide, so it stays light on a bike that already carries plenty.

Why it is worth fitting

The middle pipe runs close to the rider's leg, and this anti-scalding cover keeps boots and riding gear away from the hot metal. A heat shield is also a protective layer against small scuffs, so the pipe underneath stays tidy for longer.

The seller describes the carbon as rugged, high-temperature resistant and durable, which suits a GS that sees both road and gravel.

It also gives the exhaust area a cleaner, more distinctive look that pairs well with other carbon parts on the boxer.

Installation

The cover fits over the exhaust middle section. Let the exhaust cool fully before you start, then check the mounting points against the pipe. A soft cloth under the part avoids scratches while you work on the exhaust.

The seller does not list installation instructions, so tighten everything evenly, avoid over-tightening and recheck after the first ride.

In the box: 1 x exhaust middle section protective cover in carbon fiber.
