Chrome Voltage Regulator Cover For Harley-Davidson Softail - 2001 to 2017

Put The Voltage Regulator In The Spotlight

This voltage regulator cover fits Harley-Davidson Softail models from 2001 to 2017 and Softail Springer models from 2001 to 2009.

It is made of ABS plastic with a chrome finish and deep fins. The cover follows the shape of the stock regulator at the front of the frame and adds a finned style.

Why it is worth fitting

Left bare, the regulator is a dull black box at the front of the frame. This finned cover turns it into a chrome accent. It is a small part that gets noticed at bike nights and shows next to other chrome parts.

The smooth finish is easier to keep clean than the bare regulator and its cooling fins.

The seller notes liberal venting that lets the regulator keep cool under the cover. It is a quick dress-up part that works with other chrome accents on a Softail.

Installation

Installation is simple: the seller states that the cover needs only two bolts to mount over the regulator.

Check that the wiring is not pinched and that the cover sits square before tightening the bolts. Work with the ignition off and take care around the connectors of the charging system.

In the box: 1 chrome regulator cover. The seller does not list installation instructions.
