The exposed boxer cylinders on the BMW R 1250 GS are vulnerable to rock strikes, trail debris, and tip-over contact. Installation

1. Park the motorcycle on a center stand or paddock stand on level ground.
2. Locate the existing crash bar mounting points on each side of the engine.
3. Position the left cylinder head guard cover against the left cylinder head and align the mounting holes with the crash bar hardware.
4. Thread the supplied fasteners and tighten to secure the left cover.
5. Repeat on the right side.
6. Inspect both covers for correct seating and verify no contact with moving engine components.
