This dashboard sun visor is a clip-on hood designed for the factory TFT display fitted to the latest Kawasaki models: Ninja 650, Ninja 500 SE, Z500, Z650, Z900 SE, Z H2 SE, Ninja 1000SX and Ninja 7 Hybrid. It cuts down sun glare on the screen so speed, gear position, rev counter and navigation stay readable in bright daylight, and it shields the display from stone chips, dust, rain and scratches.

The visor is injection-moulded from high-strength ABS plastic with a matte textured finish that blends with the stock black windscreen surround and cockpit trim. It weighs just 0.11 kg, so it adds no noticeable weight to the front end.

Why it makes a difference

Modern TFT dashboards are bright, but low sun at the start or end of the day can wash the screen out completely. The anti-glare instrument visor shades the display from above and from the sides, so you can read your data at a glance without moving your head. On long rides, that means less eye strain and more attention on the road.

Unlike cheap covers that rely on double-sided tape, this visor uses an integrated clip-on mounting system. The clips lock into the factory gaps around the dashboard, so there is no adhesive residue, no pressure on the screen and no risk of the visor working loose under heat and vibration. You can remove and refit it as many times as you want without losing grip.

The UV-resistant ABS keeps its shape and colour over time, even on bikes that are parked outside all summer.

Installation

Tool-free, glue-free fitment in under 2 minutes. Position the visor over the dashboard in the correct orientation. Insert the two upper corners into the top edge gaps, then align the remaining corners. Press evenly along the edges until each clip snaps into its slot with an audible click. To remove, gently pry the edges outward. The visor comes off without leaving any mark.

Fitment

This part is listed for Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid, Ninja 1000SX, Ninja 500 SE, Ninja 650, Z500, Z650, Z900 SE and Z H2 SE fitted with the factory TFT LCD dashboard. It is not designed for older analogue or LCD clusters. Check your model and instrument panel against the photos before ordering.

Questions riders ask

Does it need glue or double-sided tape?

No. The visor clips into the factory gaps around the dashboard. No adhesive is used, so removal leaves the cockpit perfectly clean.

Will it fit my Ninja 650 or Z650 with a TFT screen?

Yes. It is shaped for the factory TFT display used on the current Ninja 650 and Z650. Bikes with the older LCD dashboard are not compatible.
