Description
Split-mount sissy bar for 2004-on Sportsters
This detachable passenger backrest is listed for the Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883 and XL1200 family from 2004 to 2022, including Iron, Forty-Eight and Seventy Two models.
It is a black steel sissy bar with a padded backrest and split side brackets.
Why it is worth fitting
The split backrest design mounts the bar to the outside of the fender rails, which keeps installation simple.
The black finish suits dark custom Sportsters such as the Iron and the Forty-Eight.
Being detachable, the bar comes off for a clean solo look and goes back on for two-up rides.
Installation
The brackets mount to the outside of the fender rails; the seller asks you to check the size of the bar against your bike before ordering.
Fit both side brackets, set the bar, then tighten the hardware evenly and confirm the backrest is firm before carrying a passenger on the road.
In the box: 1 backrest and the mounting hardware, as pictured. The seller states there is no installation instruction.
