These mid-frame air deflectors attach to the frame below the seat on 2009–2016 Harley-Davidson Touring and Trike models, including the Electra Glide, Street Glide, Road Glide and Road King. They direct engine heat away from the rider's legs, which makes a real difference on hot summer rides.

Molded in gloss black ABS, the pair blends in with the dark frame and engine finishes of the bike for a clean, factory-like look.

Why it matters

The Twin Cam engine sits right between your knees, and in summer traffic the heat rising off the cylinders and exhaust can make long rides genuinely uncomfortable. A heat shield on each side redirects that hot air outward instead of letting it flow straight onto your thighs.

Because the deflectors mount in the open space of the mid-frame, they also tidy up the area under the seat, covering the gap between the frame rails and giving the side profile a more finished appearance.

Gloss black ABS is easy to keep looking new: a regular wipe with a damp microfiber cloth removes road film without dulling the finish.

Installation

The deflectors attach to the frame below the seat. No cutting is required.

Clean the mounting area, position each deflector on its side of the frame, fasten it securely, and check that it does not touch your boots or any cable before riding. The package contains the two heat shields; check the photos to see the mounting points.
