The radiator guard and engine skid plate for the CFMOTO 450MT shield two of the most vulnerable components on the bike from trail debris, rocks, and road hazards. The radiator guard sits directly in front of the core, blocking stones and branches without restricting airflow through the honeycomb mesh pattern. The engine skid plate wraps the underside of the motor, absorbing impacts that would otherwise reach the cases or oil pan.

Both pieces are machined from aluminum and finished in black. They mount using the existing attachment points on the frame and fairing, requiring no drilling or permanent modification to the motorcycle. Available individually or as a combined set, with an optional 450MT logo cut-out on each piece.

Why it makes a difference

The radiator guard uses a close-tolerance honeycomb mesh that stops road debris before it reaches the radiator fins, reducing the risk of coolant leaks caused by stone strikes on the trail or highway.

The engine skid plate adds a solid aluminum barrier under the motor, protecting the cases and lower engine components against rocks and roots during off-road use. This direct engine protection keeps the most expensive parts of the drivetrain safe without noticeable impact on ground clearance.

Both guards are finished in a durable black coating that resists corrosion and UV exposure, keeping the underside of the bike looking clean even after heavy use in wet or muddy conditions.

Installation

1. Position the radiator guard over the front of the radiator, aligning the mounting tabs with the OEM brackets.
2. Secure using the supplied hardware. Do not over-tighten.
3. Position the engine skid plate under the motor, aligning the mounting holes with the frame points.
4. Insert and tighten all bolts to the manufacturer's torque specification.
5. Inspect fitment and confirm no contact with moving parts before riding.
