Radiator Guard For Suzuki DR-Z400S / DR-Z400SM / DR-Z400E

Trail Protection For The DR-Z400 Radiator

This radiator guard fits the Suzuki DR-Z400E (2000–2012), DR-Z400S (2000–2024) and DR-Z400SM (2004–2024).

It is made from black aluminum alloy, weighs 0.256 kg and comes in two designs.

Why it matters

The radiator sits right behind the front wheel, in the direct line of fire for stones, gravel and insects thrown up by the tire or by the vehicle ahead. A single hit can bend the fins or puncture the core, and a leaking radiator ends a ride on the spot. A radiator guard takes those impacts instead.

The open grille pattern is designed to let air flow freely, so the engine keeps running at the right temperature in traffic and on long climbs, while the guard keeps debris away from the delicate fins.

Installation

Installation is straightforward and uses the bike's existing mounting points.

Place the guard over the radiator, line it up with the mounting points and tighten the fasteners evenly. Check that it clears the hoses, the fan and the fender at full fork compression.

Compatibility

Compare the two designs in the photos before ordering. Fitment is listed exactly as stated by the manufacturer. Check your model and year against the table before ordering.

In the box: 1 radiator guard.

Care tip: inspect the guard and the radiator fins at each service. Rinsing trapped insects and dirt out from the back side of the radiator with low-pressure water keeps airflow at its best and helps the engine run at the right temperature.
