Side Pannier Rack For Husqvarna Vitpilen/Svartpilen 

These saddlebag support racks turn the Husqvarna Vitpilen & Svartpilen 401 into a bike that can actually carry luggage. They hold soft bags, saddlebags and small cases away from the rear wheel and exhaust, so you can commute, tour or camp without a backpack.

Each side is built from 3.0 mm Q235 steel tubing with a 3.0 mm aluminum bracket, finished in black powder coat.

Why it matters

Out of the box, the Vitpilen 401 has almost no carrying capacity. With side racks fitted, the load sits low and close to the bike, which keeps the handling predictable even with bags on. The manufacturer recommends up to 5 kg per side.

The racks also have pre-drilled holes compatible with a RotopaX mount (mount not included), so you can add a fuel or water pack for longer trips.

Carrying luggage on the bike instead of on your back also keeps weight off your shoulders and lowers your center of gravity, which makes long days in the saddle far more comfortable and keeps the bike stable in corners.

Installation

The set comes with mounting bolts and bolts onto the bike. No cutting is required. No printed instructions are supplied.

Fit each rack to its mounting points, tighten the bolts evenly and check that the racks and any bag clear the rear wheel and exhaust before riding.

In the box: 1 set of saddlebag support racks (left and right) with bolts. Bags and RotopaX mount are not included.

Riding tip: balance the load between both sides to keep the bike handling neutrally, and check the rack bolts after the first few hundred miles and before every long trip.
